Online Training

The Career Astronaut program requires the successful completion of both the Application (previously described) and a 6-month Online Training. Applicants can complete the online training during the Career Astronaut application process. Once both are complete, they will be considered for an interview upon qualification. If their interview is successful, they will officially be selected as a candidate!

Completion of the 6-month Online Training is required. Although completion of this online course does not guarantee applicants will be selected as a Career Astronaut candidate, the knowledge gained through the Online Training will better prepare them for the Career Astronaut Evaluation Panel and success in the space field. Individuals can also complete the Online Training even if they’re not interested in applying to the Career Astronaut program.

The Online Training provides a basic introduction to our Career Astronaut program and is continuously revised and updated. We strive to update the content every 30 days. The Online Training includes some, but not all, of the following courses:
